Player Scholarship Policy
Our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to play, regardless of financial circumstances. A limited number of scholarships are available each season to support families in need.
Thanks to the contributions from our annual Swallow’s Classic Tournament each June, we’re proud to be able to offer scholarship opportunities to families in the San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point communities.
Eligibility
We understand that every family’s situation is different. Scholarships are available for families who could use financial assistance to make participation possible.
If the cost of registration would otherwise prevent your child from playing, we encourage you to apply. All requests are considered with care and respect.
What the Scholarship Covers
Scholarships may cover:
- Full or partial registration fees
Family Commitment
As a volunteer-driven organization, families receiving a scholarship are expected, but not required, to contribute to the program by:
- Volunteering as a coach, referee, or team helper, or
- Supporting other region needs during the season (field lining, working booths at community events or other opportunities that are available during the season)
This helps ensure we can continue offering opportunities to all players.
Application Process
- Submit a scholarship request before or during registration
- All requests are handled confidentially

- Scholarships are not guaranteed and are awarded based on need and availability
- Requests are reviewed by Region leadership
- Approval may be for full or partial assistance
