Reminder DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED at AYSO Reg 87 EVENTS
This is a reminder that during AYSO Region 87 events, dogs are not allowed at the fields. We had one of our volunteer referees bitten during a game as an Assistant referee.
If a parent brings a dog to a game or practice session, please request that:
Please move sufficiently away from all children and AYSO Volunteers. This could be 10 to 15 yards from the touchline and other spectators/children. Next week, please do not bring the dog. You will be asked to remove the dog from the field and may not be able to watch the game.
AYSO Region 87 rents the San Juan Fields for our games and practices and can set this guideline for the fields that we use.
Disclaimer: AYSO is obligated to observe and respect existing regulations and laws regarding the presence of service animals at our fields. Service animals are defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as only dogs or miniature horses that have been trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Other animals, whether wild or domestic, do not qualify as service animals.
USEFUL INFORMATION (WEBSITES)
– Area 11L website
– AYSO general website
- This is the most important AYSO web site for all AYSO referees and includes all AYSO referee publications, general information and links to USSF and FIFA web sites.
- This is a fun website to use to refresh your Law memory or ask questions about refereeing – This is not an official AYSO or USSF website but the information presented here is usually very useful.
